What to Know About Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

While non-surgical rhinoplasty is very convenient and effective in the right patients, it’s not for everyone. The first thing to know about this treatment is that it’s temporary.

Because we use hyaluronic acid fillers for non-surgical rhinoplasty, it is a temporary treatment. Results can last up to 1-2 years, but the results will eventually fade. Another thing to know is that non-surgical rhinoplasty doesn’t actually make the nose smaller.

Instead, it can add volume here and there to camouflage imperfections and change the appearance of its contour. Finally, if you have more in-depth cosmetic concerns or functional problems like a deviated septum, you will need a surgical rhinoplasty.

Treatment Details

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is performed using cosmetic injections (in this case, hyaluronic acid fillers). Because of this, only a topical anesthetic is needed. Once you’re ready, Dr. Frankel will administer a series of injections into pre-chosen areas of your nose. He will carefully target just the right areas in order to correct your areas of concern. Treatment time takes less than 15 minutes.

Downtime and Results

One of the best things about non-surgical rhinoplasty is that there is very minimal downtime. Most patients return to their normal day right after their appointment, with very mild side effects (swelling and bruising). As mentioned above, the results will be temporary, but the exact duration of your results will depend on the specific dermal filler that was used.
