Dr. Frankel performs facelift surgery with the patient under either deep sedation or general anesthesia. He pays meticulous attention to detail, hiding incisions so they will be nearly imperceptible once healed. Recovery and Results

Most patients are able to return home the same day as their procedure, where they are cared for by friends or family. Recovery times range between 1-3 weeks, with an average 10-14 days of social downtime.

Over the first 2-3 days after surgery, you will experience swelling and bruising. These will begin to subside by day four. Pain is minimal, with most patients reporting discomfort from the light compression dressing (on the first night after surgery).

Once the dressing is removed, most patients do well with Tylenol® alone. Sutures are removed at one week, with a few remaining sutures removed at 10 days after surgery.

After this, he continues seeing patients on a regular basis to help them along their journey: at one month, three months, six months, and one year.
