What Happens During Treatment?
Before treatment begins, your skin will be cleansed and prepped, and possibly numbed with a topical anesthetic if needed. Dr. Frankel administers Dysport injections in Cleveland by himself, and this process takes 10-20 minutes. A very fine needle will deliver Dysport into the facial muscles.
What to Expect Afterward
There is no downtime with Dysport, and you will be able to return to your regular day following treatment. Common but temporary side effects include nausea, swelling, bruising, inflammation, or a headache. For the next few days, we recommend avoiding:
- Rubbing or scrubbing your face
- Bending over
- Tanning
- High intensity exercise
- Excessive heat (hot yoga, showers, saunas, hot tubs, baths, etc.)
- Alcohol (for 24 hours)
- Lying down or reclining (for six hours after treatment)
